Inspired by Japanese punk style, this garment is a risqué attack on western menswear. Sporting black and print influences seen in popular modern Korean textiles, it challenges our gender roles in fashion.

Questions:

-What was the most difficult aspect of putting your garment together?

The most tedious part of creating this garment is drafting out the off-the shoulder top. It was also hard yet a fresh experience of sewing mesh because of the many holes the fabric contains. A difficult part of creating this look is the shorts. It is a very slippery and fragile fabric. There were times when sewing in a straight line wasn't as straight as I wanted it to be. Of course that leads to knots which leads to holes in the garment. I had to tear up the shorts the first time and go shopping for the fabric to make a 2nd "perfect" attempt. The waist band was the most diffuclt part. It is not perfect as I want it to be. It is more of a rush job of having the shorts sewn together in order to be juried.

-Was there a new technique you learned during the making of your ensemble?

A technique I learned, is not really a technique. It is more of a life choice. No matter how life gets you down, if you put your mind to it, you will get through it. Just make sure that you won't let it get to you.

-How will you use the new techniques in the future?

This applies to my everyday life and not just in fashion. I can get far and feel good about it when times are rough.

-How much did your garment cost?  (Fabric, thread, notions, etc)

Total of fabrics, knit needls could be around $75.

-What is your costumer profile?

Unisex

18-25
